The Trademark Office of China National Intellectual Property Administration reports that Huawei submitted a trademark for “MATEROBOT”, and is currently awaiting a substantive examination. The trademark covers many products, including telepresence robotics, chatbots, user-programmable robots, smartphones and AI-powered robots with learning and communication capabilities. According to the application, it also includes robots that are used for household tasks, scientific research, educational purposes, and security monitoring. Huawei, in partnership China Mobile and Leju Robotics unveiled the Kuafu robot at Mobile World Congress 2020 in early March. The robot uses 5G-A, which allows for high-precision position in large environments. Users can also remotely control the robot.[
