A single layer multimodal skin is presented using a highly sensitive hydrogel. We can access up to 863.040 conductive paths across the membrane using electrical impedance imaging techniques. This allows us to identify six distinct multimodal stimuli including human touch, damage and multipoint insulated press. To demonstrate the versatility of our approach, we cast the Hydrogel into the size and shape of an adult human’s hand.

This paperintroduces a novel robotic device that exhibits two distinct modes: rotational aerial flying and terrestrial locomotion. This versatile robot consists of a sturdy frame, two motors and a single fuselage-shaped wing. The robot can take off and land vertically in mono-wing mode. It has the unique ability to fly both clockwise and anticlockwise, which sets it apart from other mono-wings.
