SoftBank is all-in on AI.

After announcing its involvement with the $500 billion Stargate AI Infrastructure Project, in which SoftBank reportedly fronted a cool $19 Billion, the Japanese conglomerate reportedly wants to launch its biggest AI project to date. Bloombergcites sources familiar with the project as saying that the company is looking to partner with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to launch a trillion dollar industrial complex in Arizona for AI and robotics.

Project Crystal Land appears to be in its early stages. Bloomberg reports that despite SoftBank’s desire for TSMC to be involved in the project, the role of TSMC is unclear. It’s also unclear if TSMC would be interested in collaborating with SoftBank. TSMC has its own AI projects in Arizona already in the works.

SoftBank refused to comment.
