According to an exclusive report published by LatePost,

ByteDance produced more than 1,000 robotics in the past two and a quarter years. Its robotics R&D department has grown to 150 members. The report stated that the team’s goal is to achieve embodied intelligent, in the long term. ByteDance focuses its current production on wheeled logistic robots or Autonomous Mobile Robots. These robots are developed for indoor transport of different materials. These AMRs are not robotic arms, but instead move components and parcels between warehouses and production lines. ByteDance uses them primarily in its own operations such as the Douyin (TikTok), e-commerce warehouses. It has also started serving external clients, including SF Express, BYD Electronics and others, where they are used to move finished products and parts within the companies’ manufacturing bases.[latePostin Chinese]
