Wisson Robotics Unveils Advanced Soft Robotics Solutions at CES 2025

Published:

On January 9, 2025, Wisson Robotics drew significant attention at CES 2025 with live demonstrations of its soft robotics innovations based on its proprietary Pliabot technology. The company’s booth was a major attraction, showcasing robots equipped with Pliabot muscles, joints, and arms that mimic the functionality of human muscles while offering enhanced capabilities.

The core of these innovations is the Pliabot technology, which operates under the motto “Emulate Human Muscles, Transcend Human Capabilities.” By replicating human muscle characteristics through soft bionic muscles and neuronic intelligence, Pliabot delivers five distinct advantages that tackle two of the biggest hurdles in broad robotic adoption: adaptability and cost efficiency.

  • Exceptional Load-to-Weight Ratio: The system achieves an impressive 2000:1 load-to-weight ratio, outpacing traditional rigid-joint systems and conventional solutions.
  • Robust Environmental Resistance: Built with durable materials and featuring pressurized, sealed chambers, the technology is waterproof, dustproof, and corrosion-resistant, and it can withstand extreme weather conditions and electromagnetic interference.
  • Superior Task Adaptability: Its flexible design allows for precise posture control and adaptive adjustments during physical contact, ensuring stable operation.
  • Enhanced Safety in Interactions: The soft materials and the ability for passive deformation ensure that the robots can safely absorb impacts, making interactions with them much safer.
  • Cost-Effective Production: Utilizing polymer-based soft materials and 3D printing significantly reduces the need for expensive sensors, lowering production costs.

Wisson Robotics also introduced a range of products powered by Pliabot. For instance, the Orion AP3-P3 Pliabot Aerial Tethered Cleaning System employs a Pliabot gimbal that provides adaptive balancing and soft collision buffering, making it highly suitable for high-altitude cleaning tasks. Additionally, the Orion AP30-N1 Pliabot Aerial Manipulator extends the capabilities of drones with its lightweight robotic arm, which performs precise tasks like grasping, placing, and sampling, thereby reducing operational risks in challenging environments. Furthermore, the Pliabot Automatic Charging Robot offers both performance and cost benefits, making it an ideal solution for large-scale commercial use and supporting the rapid growth of the electric vehicle industry.

These advancements highlight Wisson Robotics’ vision of empowering both industries and everyday life with cutting-edge soft robotics, delivering solutions that are safer, smarter, and more efficient.
