Airseekers Secures Major Series A+ Investment to Accelerate Yard Robotics Innovation

Airseekers, a pioneering Chinese company specializing in robotic solutions for outdoor spaces, has successfully closed a Series A+ funding round, raising a substantial eight-figure sum in RMB. This round was spearheaded by Infore Environment Technology Group, a publicly traded firm linked to Midea, with continued backing from existing investor XGroup.

Strategic Allocation of Capital for Growth and Innovation

The newly acquired capital will be strategically invested in advancing research and development, refining product iterations, and scaling up mass production across multiple SKUs. Additionally, Airseekers plans to broaden its product lineup while enhancing supply chain efficiency and expanding its international distribution channels.

Since completing its initial Series A round in December 2025, Airseekers has amassed over RMB 100 million (approximately USD 14.7 million) in funding within just six months, underscoring strong investor confidence in its vision and technology.

Company Overview: Innovating Smart Yard Solutions

Established in 2022, Airseekers is dedicated to developing intelligent hardware tailored for outdoor environments, with a core focus on boundary-free robotic lawn mowers. Leveraging proprietary technologies and scenario-driven innovation, the company is constructing an integrated smart yard ecosystem centered on comprehensive lawn care management.

Market Landscape and Growth Potential

According to recent data from Euromonitor and industry analyses, robotic lawn mowers represented 9.1% of the global lawn mower market by value in 2024, indicating significant room for growth. Europe leads with a penetration rate between 20% and 30%, reflecting mature adoption, yet even here, boundary-free models present untapped replacement opportunities. In contrast, North America, characterized by expansive lawns and varied terrain, shows less than 2% penetration, highlighting it as a critical target for future market expansion.

Competitive Dynamics and User-Centric Innovation

As the yard robotics sector grows, competition intensifies, often manifesting in price wars and feature overload. However, many products fail to address deeper user needs beyond basic mobility.

“Consumers aren’t just seeking a mower that moves; they want a lawn that looks immaculate,” explains Hu Yue, Airseekers’ founder. “Sustained innovation and superior product development are key to standing out. While market leaders leverage scale for cost advantages, challengers must differentiate through unique products and distribution strategies.”

Introducing the Tron Ultra Series: A Leap in Robotic Lawn Mower Technology

Revolutionary Mobility with Four-Wheel Independent Drive

Airseekers’ latest flagship, the Tron Ultra series, features an industry-first four-wheel independent drive coupled with an independent steering system. Each wheel can rotate freely at any angle, enabling complex maneuvers such as on-the-spot rotation, sideways movement, and diagonal navigation. This innovation effectively eliminates common issues like turf damage, edge blind spots, and entrapment in challenging lawn terrains.

This advanced chassis design draws inspiration from automotive engineering, marking a pioneering integration of complex vehicle dynamics into robotic lawn care.

Engineering Excellence: Compact, Reliable, and Cost-Effective

The R&D team engineered a compact system combining hub motors with independent steering knuckles, optimizing off-road performance, durability, and affordability. By removing traditional mechanical steering components and reducing moving parts, the design enhances reliability and lowers maintenance demands.

Complemented by an upgraded vision-based navigation system and Airseekers’ proprietary mulching technology, the Tron Ultra series delivers faster response times and decreased failure rates.

Market Launch and Channel Expansion

Having completed rigorous R&D and engineering validation, the Tron Ultra series is slated for global release mid-2026. Airseekers aims to solidify its brand presence in the premium robotic lawn mower segment through product innovation and differentiated sales channels.

Beyond e-commerce, the company has invested heavily in offline specialist retail networks across Europe and North America, including dedicated yard equipment stores and garden supply chains, to ensure consistent distribution and customer engagement.

Recent reports indicate a fivefold increase in Airseekers’ offline orders in Europe compared to the previous year, alongside hundreds of millions of RMB in preliminary orders for its new robotic mowers.

Insights from Airseekers’ Founder Hu Yue on Market Trends and Company Vision

Expanding Presence in North America

Q: Europe remains your strongest market. How is the US market evolving?

Hu Yue: Europe continues to be our foundation, but the US market is gradually gaining traction this year, albeit at a measured pace. This slow growth reflects broader industry challenges.

Many brands have entered North American online retail channels, but much of this activity is still focused on brand awareness and consumer education.

US consumers often associate Chinese hardware brands with budget options, and the perception of these brands as premium is still developing. This means Chinese companies, regardless of size, face similar hurdles in brand recognition, which can be both a challenge and an opportunity.

Industry Competition and the Need for Depth

Q: The term “involution” is frequently used to describe China’s robotic lawn mower market. What is your take on the current competitive environment?

Hu Yue: The market has moved beyond its initial growth phase into a stage of consolidation and elimination. Success now demands robust capabilities in supply chain management, localized services, and global sales networks.

Unfortunately, many competitors remain trapped in superficial competition, focusing on feature stacking and price cuts rather than addressing fundamental user needs.

Product homogeneity is widespread, with most offerings limited to basic mowing. Few companies delve into critical pain points like lawn health, mulching efficiency, or water conservation.

Large corporations tend to adopt a wait-and-see approach, entering only after market leaders emerge, while smaller startups often lack resources for deep R&D. This results in a crowded market with limited true innovation.

Commercial smart mowing solutions are still nascent, with no scalable business models yet. Given the distinct requirements of commercial versus residential markets, Airseekers is currently prioritizing residential applications.

Building a Holistic Smart Yard Ecosystem

Q: Airseekers aims to transcend being just a robotic lawn mower manufacturer. What is your broader ecosystem strategy?

Hu Yue: Our vision extends beyond isolated hardware. We aspire to create a dynamic “yard organism” capable of self-evolution and comprehensive environmental awareness.

Starting with robotic lawn mowers as sensory and interactive nodes, we gather extensive data on yard conditions, user behaviors, and plant growth patterns. This enables us to develop a semantic understanding of the yard environment.

Looking ahead, we plan to introduce a groundbreaking terminal robot that redefines mobility beyond traditional wheeled designs. This device will serve as a physical interface bridging the digital and physical realms within consumer yards.

In the near term, our focus remains on delivering high-quality hardware products. Long term, we aim to weave an invisible network of intelligence throughout the yard ecosystem, transforming outdoor spaces into “second living rooms” where humans, nature, data, and devices coexist harmoniously.
