At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, China Mobile, Huawei and Leju Robotics unveiled jointly on Thursday, the world’s very first humanoid robotic device equipped with 5G A technology. 5G-A (5G Advanced) is the next evolution in 5G technology. It serves as a bridge to future 6G networks. Leju said that 5G-A, with its broader bandwidth, ultra low latency and intelligent network architecture, provides a solid technical foundation for humanoid robotic applications in multiple scenarios. According to the R&D team that developed the new robot, 5G-A allows humanoid robotics to track precise locations in large-scale environments with no additional equipment. The team said that 5G-A’s high-bandwidth capabilities also allow for large-scale data collection.
