With the rapid integration of automation technologies in China’s industrial sector, the robotics startup AgiBot has secured a significant contract to supply nearly 100 robots to Fulin Precision, a prominent automotive parts manufacturer. This deal marks a notable milestone in the country’s shift towards smart factory solutions.

About AgiBot and Its Innovative Robotics

Established in Shanghai in 2023, AgiBot-also known locally as Zhiyuan Robotics, a name that translates to “wheeled” or “dual-armed”-specializes in advanced manufacturing robots. The company recently announced its collaboration with Fulin Precision to implement its A2-W model, a dual-armed, wheeled robot designed to optimize factory workflows.

Capabilities and Performance of the A2-W Robot

The A2-W robot excels in handling repetitive tasks such as loading, unloading, and material transportation. During a live demonstration at Fulin Precision’s facility in July, the robot successfully met the production demands for a full month within a single shift, showcasing its efficiency and reliability.

Specifically, the A2-W is capable of delivering raw materials sufficient for producing 500 units per shift, while simultaneously executing close to 10,000 box-moving operations. This level of productivity highlights the robot’s potential to significantly enhance manufacturing throughput.

Enhancing Worker Safety and Productivity

A director at Fulin Precision emphasized that deploying these robots will alleviate employees from physically taxing and monotonous tasks, such as repetitive box handling, which often leads to lumbar muscle strain. By automating these duties, workers can redirect their efforts toward more skilled and value-added activities, improving overall workplace ergonomics and job satisfaction.
