Dr. Tirumala said at a media conference in Vizianagaram that robotic surgeries will minimise pain and complications for patients as they are done in a meticulous manner. He said the first CME in Vizianagaram will be a boon to doctors, as they can observe live operations and interact directly with experts from the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists. According to him Robotic Inguinal Hysterectomy, Robotic Cholecystectomy, and other procedures will be performed at the hospital near the APSRTC Complex in Vizianagaram.
