Infosys announced the launch Infosys Springboard Makerlab at Symbiosis International University (Deemed) in Pune. The first lab of its kind aims to give young learners hands-on experience with STEM fields. The lab is open to all Symbiosis Schools and Colleges and nearby educational institutions.
Infosys Springboard Makerlab provides access to a wide range of cutting edge technologies, including educational DIY kit and equipment related to science and electronics, robotics and microcontrollers. It also offers Internet of Things (IoT), augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR), drones and 3D printing. The facility is designed for experiential learning, and to equip students with skills aligned with Industry 4.0 automation, and digital transform.
Symbiosis International University (Deemed) Pro-Chancellor Dr. Vidya Yaravdekar said, “Together, we are preparing our students to excel in an ever-changing technological landscape.” The creation of the Infosys Makerlab is a testimony to our collaborative efforts in modernizing the educational ecosystem and empowering students to become active problem-solvers and creators. This Lab is aligned with the National Education Policy of 2024 by bridging the gap between theory and practical application.
