LINCOLNSHIRE (Illinois)–LG Electronics USA, in collaboration with Marriott Design Lab, has developed a commercial-grade, autonomous vacuum cleaning device. The LG Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, developed in collaboration with Marriott International, is now available to the hospitality industry.

He said, “This is an excellent example of how our partnership with the Marriott Design Lab advances innovation for the industry as a whole.” The LG Robotic Vacuum Cleaner provides the best automated vacuum cleaning for floors in corridors and meetings spaces. It is robust, user-friendly, and can be operated by hotel associates. We are excited to work with Marriott Design Lab on bringing a range of innovations and commercial robotic vacuum cleaners to market. This robot uses LiDAR and Vision Fusion SLAM sensors to measure distances. It provides efficient cleaning based upon a custom map tailored for each hotel, and minimizes disruption to guests.
The three-liter dustbin can handle larger debris such as paper scraps using two cleaning methods, suction and sweeping. The robot is equipped with a mobile application in multiple languages and a cloud management platform that allows hotel operators to monitor cleaning progress, battery levels, location and other data points in real-time. It also generates statistics based on cleaning histories.
