Maritime Robotics, a front-runner in uncrewed surface vessel (USV) innovation, has successfully delivered two state-of-the-art USVs to DEME, a global leader in maritime solutions.
This achievement further solidifies the enduring partnership between Maritime Robotics and DEME, showcasing their joint dedication to technological advancement, operational efficiency, and sustainable maritime practices.
The delivery features two distinct vessels: the compact 2-meter Otter USV and the larger, more sophisticated 6-meter Mariner USV. The Otter, a fully electric catamaran, is tailored for high-precision data collection in sheltered, coastal, and shallow water environments. In contrast, the Mariner offers a greater payload capacity and extended operational range, making it well-suited for challenging offshore assignments. Both vessels are designed with energy efficiency and low emissions in mind, reinforcing an eco-friendly approach to maritime operations.
Vegard Evjen Hovstein, CEO and Founder of Maritime Robotics, expressed pride in the ongoing collaboration with DEME, emphasizing that the reliability and performance of their products are a testament to the trust placed in them by their partners.
Together, the Otter and Mariner USVs are redefining precision, performance, and sustainability in maritime operations. The Otter excels in near-shore conditions, while the Mariner is engineered for extended offshore missions. This partnership not only broadens DEME’s data acquisition capabilities but also sets a new industry benchmark for innovation and environmental responsibility.
Since its establishment in 2005, Maritime Robotics has been at the forefront of autonomous maritime technology, delivering advanced navigation systems and USVs worldwide. Their solutions have enhanced capabilities in various sectors including marine mapping, environmental monitoring, surveillance, and inspection, paving the way for safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective maritime operations.
