Hungary’s Obuda University, the US’s Stanford University and the National University of Singapore (NUS) have launched a joint medical robotics project, Obuda University said on Wednesday.
The project will see the three universities create algorithms that correspond to the most recent technologies in robotics within the next three year. The university stated in astatement that the project aims to implement radically new ideas in surgical robotics, laboratory automation and research directions.
Levente Kovacs was quoted by the university as saying that the fact that the Obuda University’s call was accepted and welcomed by leaders of two of world’s TOP 10 Universities shows its international recognition.
Kovacs said that robots can perform increasingly complex tasks and artificial intelligence methods are able to accelerate research. According to the statement all three universities will contribute significant resource, including top experts to the joint project.
