This single-leg robotic device is intended to “form the foundation for future bipedal robotic development,” but I personally think it’s great as is.

The sale of 17,000 social robots is still astonish me. Aldebaran is missed.

It’s good to see some real challenging shoves in the biped testing.

Ground Controlmade a multi-legged splash at IEEE’s International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Atlanta! We competed in the Startup Pitch Competition, and demonstrated our robot on NIST standard terrain and at the convention. We were honored to be a finalist in the Best Expo Demo category and to participate in the Robot Parade.

Thank you, Dan!

Humanoid, a robotics innovation company based in the U.K., is dedicated to developing commercially scalable and reliable robotic solutions for real world applications.

I’ll admit it, that’s a pretty cool bootup screen.

Thank you, Kristina.

Quadrupedal Robots have shown remarkable agility and robustness when traversing complex terrains. They are limited in their ability to interact with objects that require sustained contact. In this work, LocoTouch is a system that provides quadrupedal robotics with tactile sensors to tackle a challenging task within this category: the long-distance transportation of cylindrical objects that are not secured, which requires custom mounting mechanisms in order to maintain stability.

Thank you, Changyi!

In the video, Digit performs tasks autonomously with a whole body controller for mobile manipulating. This new controller has been trained in simulation to enable Digit to perform tasks while navigating and manipulating objects that it has never seen before.

It’s not bad, but it’s worth pointing that these shelves aren’t representative of any market I have ever been to.

It’s always cool when robots are presented as a solution to a particular problem, rather than just robots.

The real question you want to know is: “Why is water on the floor?”

The use of reinforcement learning (RL) to control physics-based characters and robots that track kinematic motion reference has been significantly improved. We propose a multiobjective reinforcement learning framework which trains a single rule conditioned on a weighted set of rewards, covering the Pareto front in reward trade-offs. Weights can be selected after training and then tuned, allowing for a significant reduction in iteration times. We demonstrate how this improved work flow can be used to perform highly-dynamic motions with a robotic character.
