To understand the business value of collaborative robotics, it is important to know what people are good at, what robots are good at, and how they can work together to increase productivity. DHL and Robust.AI have partnered to define the future human-robot collaborative work.

Robust AI

Teleoperated robot characters can perform expressive human interactions, relying upon the operators’ experience and their social intuition. In this work, our proposal is to create interactive robots that are autonomous by training a model based on operator data. Our model is trained using a dataset of human robot interactions. An expert operator is asked by the dataset to change the mood and interactions of the robot while recording the operator commands and the pose of both the human and the robot.

At WorldMinds2025 in the Kaufleuten Theater, Zurich, on March 13, our team demonstrated two autonomous vision-based race drones for the first time. The preparation for this event was a long and difficult journey, especially given the poor lighting conditions in the theater and the safety restrictions of a theater with over 500 people. The background screen displays in real-time, the observations of each drone’s AI algorithm. No map, no IMU, no SLAM!

Our Learning Introspective Control program (LINC) aims to improve the safety of mechanical system, such as ships, ground vehicles, and robots, by using machine learning methods which require minimal computing power.
