Microsoft had to fix a security problem
Microsoft removed the option to use Windows Hello facial recognition in dark rooms.
It is interesting to note that the tech giant has removed the ability to use its Windows Hello facial recognition feature in dark rooms.
Windows Centralreported that Windows Central had quietly made the changein April. Microsoft claims that a security flaw in Windows Hello spoofing led to the removal of facial recognition in dark functionality. Microsoft says that “Windows Hello facial detection requires color cameras in order to see a visible person when signing in.”
There is no information on when and if this functionality will return. Online users have discovered that you can disable the webcam in Windows Device Manager so that Windows Hello returns to IR sensor authentication. This will prevent you from using the camera for video calling. It would be used only for authentication.
