Shoucheng Holdings Launches Innovative Robot Experience Store in Chengdu’s Prime Commercial Hub

Expanding a Nationwide Footprint: From Beijing to Chengdu

In October 2025, Shoucheng Holdings Limited (0697.HK) marked a significant advancement in its robotics venture by inaugurating a new Robot Experience Store on Chunxi Road, Chengdu’s bustling retail artery. This follows the successful debut of its flagship “Taozhu New Creation Bureau” in Beijing’s Shougang Park, which attracted over 3,000 daily visitors and generated substantial sales, according to local reports. As China’s pioneering retail space dedicated exclusively to consumer robotics, the Beijing store showcased more than 200 cutting-edge products from leading innovators like Unitree Robotics and Noetix Robotics, spanning applications in home companionship, education, healthcare, and entertainment.

Building on this momentum, the Chengdu store, open from October 7 to 15, presented over 20 state-of-the-art robots, including humanoid figures, AI-driven foundational systems, intelligent perception technologies, and educational robotics. Chunxi Road, known for its annual foot traffic exceeding 200 million visitors, is a strategic location for launching new brands in Western China, positioning Shoucheng at the forefront of technology commercialization in the region.

Integrating Robotics into Everyday Life: A Consumer-Centric Approach

The Chengdu exhibition featured a diverse array of robots, such as humanoid and bionic models from Songyan Dynamics, alongside Unitree’s G1 and B2 humanoid robots. Also highlighted was the AI companion robot Regis, developed by Qimi, designed to enhance daily interactions. Industry experts recognize Shoucheng’s immersive retail experience as a practical blueprint for embedding advanced robotics into consumer lifestyles. By enabling hands-on interaction and immediate purchase options, Shoucheng is pioneering a scalable retail model that bridges the gap between complex technology and everyday users.

From Strategic Investment to Consumer Ecosystem: Shoucheng’s Holistic Robotics Vision

Shoucheng’s commitment to robotics extends beyond retail experimentation. As a leading intelligent infrastructure asset manager in China, the company oversees the Beijing Robotics Industry Development Investment Fund, which manages assets exceeding RMB 10 billion (approximately USD 1.4 billion). This fund targets core robotics components and embodied intelligence technologies, fostering innovation across the value chain.

Investments include stakes in prominent firms such as Noetix Robotics and Galbot, enabling Shoucheng to cultivate a comprehensive ecosystem that spans upstream component manufacturing to downstream consumer applications. Their strategic framework-“Invest Early, Land Fast, Scale Quickly”-emphasizes early-stage investment, rapid market validation through retail channels, and accelerated product iteration driven by user data.

A company spokesperson emphasized, “Success in robotics hinges not only on technological breakthroughs but on practical, real-world applications. Our experience stores serve as a vital link between investment and consumer adoption, transforming advanced robotics into accessible lifestyle solutions.”

Regional Innovation Hub: Chengdu as the Southwest Robotics Headquarters

The Chengdu launch is integral to Shoucheng’s broader regional strategy. The company has established its first Southwest regional robotics subsidiary in Jinjiang District, Chengdu. This hub consolidates exhibition, retail, research and development, and scenario incubation functions, coordinating robotics operations and partnerships across the Sichuan-Chongqing-Yunnan economic zone. This regional center aims to synergize industry growth, consumer engagement, and local economic development.

Shaping a New Paradigm for Technology Commercialization in China

From its origins in Beijing Shougang Park to the vibrant retail environment of Chengdu Chunxi Road, and including pop-up stores at Beijing Capital Airport’s Terminal 3, Shoucheng has effectively operationalized its “Infrastructure Backbone + Technology Engine” strategy. This evolution underscores the company’s transformation and leadership in the robotics sector.

Under the “Taozhu New Creation Bureau” brand-symbolizing the vision of “bringing the future home”-Shoucheng has initiated a public campaign inviting consumers to propose new brand names that better capture this innovative spirit. This participatory approach reflects the company’s belief that the future of robotic consumption is a collaborative journey between creators and users, rather than a unilateral corporate narrative.

Submissions are open until November 1, 2025, via Shoucheng’s official WeChat account. The selected name will be presented to shareholders for final endorsement.

Looking Ahead: Building a Consumer-Driven Innovation Ecosystem

In the upcoming year, Shoucheng plans to expand the Taozhu New Creation Bureau across major Chinese cities, fostering a dynamic ecosystem where immersive retail experiences catalyze industrial innovation. This consumer-focused approach is poised to accelerate the integration of robotics into daily life, setting new standards for technology adoption and commercialization in China.
