Australian company DroneShield announced its largest contract ever: a landmark A$61.6m deal. Three contracts are for a European customer.

The record-breaking order exceeds the company’s total revenue of A$57.5million in 2024, highlighting an increase in demand for their technology. The contract covers DroneShield handheld detection and counter drone systems, as well as associated accessories.

DroneShield confirmed that it expects to complete the order in the third quarter 2025. Payments are expected in the third and the fourth quarters 2025. The company’s recent expansion of production and inventory has made this quick turnaround possible. If you are new to DroneShield they provide counter-drones that focus on Machine Learning (ML).

The new centre will be DroneShield’s first manufacturing and assembly facility outside Australia. It will focus on drone testing, research and development and training.

Key elements of the European Strategy

A new manufacturing capability

This company is setting up its first European manufacturing facility and creating a second line for key hardware.

Increased European Content

The strategy aims to have at least 65 percent of the industry’s content in certain sales. This will help DroneShield qualify more regional procurement programs.
