Breakthrough in Consumer AI Robotics with Rover X1
On November 6, Lens Technology revealed the order for 10,000 units of the Rover X1, the world’s first AI-powered household quadruped robot, retailing at approximately RMB 7,499 (around USD 1,030). The launch generated substantial consumer interest, with over 5,000 vouchers claimed across various sales channels on the first day alone, targeting both individual consumers and enterprise clients.
Comprehensive Partnership and Integrated Manufacturing Chain
Lens Technology will oversee the complete assembly process and act as a principal supplier for Dobot Robotics. Their collaboration encompasses the development and production of joint motors, structural components, and other core parts, establishing a seamless “R&D-Manufacturing-Supply” ecosystem. Additionally, the two companies formalized a strategic partnership agreement, with plans to integrate 1,000 Dobot robots into Lens Technology’s production lines by 2025 to enhance automation and operational agility.

He projected that by 2025, Lens Technology would deliver over 10,000 quadruped robots and 3,000 humanoid robots, expanding its portfolio of AI-edge hardware and solidifying its position as a dominant force in embodied intelligent manufacturing.

Following the announcement on November 6, Lens Technology’s stock surged by 9.6%, elevating its market capitalization to RMB 165 billion (approximately USD 22.7 billion), reflecting strong investor confidence in its robotics ventures.
