PADI, Neuro, Blue Robotics Unite for Ocean Conservation

This week, in celebration of Earth Day, PADI and their conservation partners, Neuro Gum and Mints, and Blue Robotics, revealed a community-driven mural honoring sharks, the kelp eco-system, and rays through their

Beautify Earth and Blue Earth Street Art program
are both part of the Blue Earth Street Art Program. The program supports public artwork that focuses onaccessto marine ecosystems and technologies. PADI AWARE Foundation Director Danna Moor stated:

“This creative partnership is designed to ignite awareness, rally conservation efforts and inspire both non-divers and divers to join the global campaign to protect the oceans’ most misunderstood animals.” This is not just a wall — it’s an action call.

The large-scale mural, designed and painted by Neuro Co-Founder Kent Yoshimura and renowned muralist Kent Yoshimura, was unveiled in San Diego, California. It depicts the grace and beauty of kelp and sharks, as well as their vital ecological role. This mural is meant to change the narrative of fear and fascination towards one of the most vulnerable species of marine life on the planet, as well as the delicate balance within the marine ecosystem.

Yoshimura (19459016) explains that:

Our oceans – and the sharks and rays and other incredible life in them – don’t need heroic figures; they need us all to make conscious choices every day, regardless of how small. We hope that this mural will bring communities together, inspire action, and serve as a reminder that the protection of our oceans is a responsibility and honor shared by all of humanity.

This mural builds on a long-standing partnership that began World Whale Day in 2024. A collection of two limited-edition re-usable Neuro x PADI tins were created to be used with Neuro’s bulk bags

Since the partnership began, Neuro has raised overUS$250,000/~EUR220,550 to support AWARE’s ocean conservation efforts, earning them the distinction as one of the foundation’s largest donors to date.

Yoshimura adds: “We believe that true wellness means caring about ourselves, our communities, as well as our planet.”

We’re achieving this through our partnership with PADI and the mural. One brushstroke, dive, and mindful moment at a a time. We build tools to help people explore and see the underwater world. It’s all about the people. It’s all about expanding who can be a part of this experience. Collaboration with PADI Neuro and Beautify Earth brings exploration, conservation and public art together in a way to meet people where they are. It reflects the notion that protecting the ocean begins with helping more people fall for it.”
