According to a GGII report (Shenzhen Gaogong Industry Research), global quadruped robotic market will reach approximately 34,000 units by 2023. This represents a 76.86% increase year-over-year. The market size increased by 42.95% to 1.074 billion Yuan ($148.6 millions) from the previous year.

Unitree will launch its 4th generation robot, the A1, in 2020. The A1 is priced at less that 100,000 yuan. By 2023, Unitree released the consumer robot dog Go2 as well as the humanoid robotic H1. The Go2 was priced at only 9,997 Yuan, bringing the price of consumer robot dogs below the 10,000 Yuan threshold.

Unitree’s “Pump fitness” device is a new product that goes beyond its core “robot dogs” products. This compact exercise equipment contains a motor inside a small box, with ropes and handle, weighing only 700g, while allowing consumers the freedom to work out anywhere.

The product sold hundreds of thousands in its first month and became popular with overseas consumers. Unitree’s fitness pumps have been a big hit on Amazon Japan. Despite the same pricing on European and American markets for Unitree’s fitness pump, sales in Japan are often thousands of units. This accounts for more than half of all global sales.

Unitree completed its Series C financing round in 2024, valued at hundreds of millions yuan. It was backed by a stellar lineup of investors, including Beijing Robot Industry Development Investment Fund.
