According the 2025 Robot Industry Talent Development Report by Chinese online recruitment platform Zhaopin, the number of job applicants and job postings in China’s humanoid robots sector increased by 396% in the first five month of 2025. Robotics algorithm engineering earned the highest average salary of 25,368 Yuan ($3,500). A professional in humanoid robots told a Yicai journalist that the work in this field spans many disciplines, including mechanics and electronics, artificial intelligence, and software, making interdisciplinary abilities a key hiring criterion.
