Tesla announced on Wednesday its second-quarter production and delivery figures, ahead of its full earnings report later this month. It said it delivered 384122 vehicles and produced 41244 in the second quarter of its year. This is a 14 percent drop in deliveries compared to Q2 2024, and the second consecutive drop year-over-year. According to Forrester research, Tesla owners love the cars they own, but many people “fails to connect with potential buyers,” consider the brand to be untrustworthy and not worthy of a purchase. Forrester did not list the reasons for these perceptions, but there is one that we can think of. It’s not going away any time soon, unless shareholders decide to take action. (r)
