Noetix Robotics unveils new generation bionic robot featuring female persona Xiao Nuo

Noetix Robotics, a humanoid robot startup, unveiled a new bionic robot with a female persona called Xiao Nuo on Sunday. Xiao Nuo has 32 DOF (degrees-of-freedom) and facial expressions that are similar to those of humans. According to the company, the robot supports character customizations such as customized makeup. Jiang Zheyuan, the founder of the company, also announced that preorders for its N2 robot had exceeded 1,000 units. The N2, which was first unveiled by the company in March, is said to be the first humanoid robotic device capable of continuous backflips. It is priced at RMB 39.900 ($5,625).
