On February 2, China’s embodied AI company TARS (Trusted AI and Robotics Solution), led by Meituan’s strategic investment arm, announced the completion a $122 Million Angel+ funding round. This round was co-invested by Junshan Capital as well as Bihong Investment and Guoqi Investment. SAIF Partners and C&D Emerging Industry Investment were also involved. Existing investors like Linear Capital and Xianghe Capital increased their stakes as well. The round comes only four months after TARS raised the largest angel round of $120 million in China’s embodied AI industry. It increased its total funding from $242 million. TARS was founded in February 2025 by a team that includes former Huawei, Baidu and DJI executives, scientists and engineers.
