Zeekr shows humanoid robotic robots charging their EV cars

How will humanoid robotics be charged when their batteries run out?

Zeekr Europe has shared a video of 2 humanoid robotic robots working together to connect the charger onto the back of the other.

When you have workloads that lend themselves to Robots replacing humans, the last thing you need is a human standing around to connect the charger.

Zeekr is working with UBTECH, a 13-year-old company in China with 2,000 employees to solve the EV charger problem.

We see in the video that one of the robots is connecting a charger to a Zeekr 001’s charge port. Wireless charging is cheaper than robots, but robots are not the only option. Other auto and robot manufacturers have also adopted wireless charging.

In light of the rapid changes in the industry, and particularly robotaxi, using cables and connectors seems like a last-generation technology.

You can watch the video version in the original post by Zeekr.
