Ecovacs released the Deebot X8 Pro Omni just a few short months ago. Now, it has a follow-up, the Deebot X9 Pro Omni. The new model is similar to the older generation. It offers the roller mop that was announced at CES this year. However, some of the vacuum features have been changed to better pick up dust and dirt as it moves. Other improvements are also made, but the biggest change is the price, which is higher than before.”https://bgr.com/reviews/ecovacs-deebot-x8-pro-omni-review-the-best-robotic-mopping-can-get-for-now/”>the X8 Pro Omni. The Ecovacs Deebot’s X9 Pro Omni is a high-priced vacuum cleaner. Should you choose one of its many competitors, such as Roborock or another Ecovacs model?”wp-block-heading” id=”h-ecovacs-deebot-x9-pro-omni-specs”>Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni specs Dock dimensions13.8 x 18.8 x 21 inches (LxWxH)Weight36.9 pounds Battery life228 minutes (standard mode, hard floor)Smart home compatibilityMatterSuction power16,600PaVacuum dust bin capacity0.22 litersDock dust bin capacity3 liters Clean water tank capacity4 liters Dirty Water Tank Capacity4 Litersh2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-ecovacs-deebot-x9-pro-omni-review-design”>Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni Review: DesignThe design is similar to that of the X8 Pro Omni but more refined. The docking station is where you’ll find most of the refinements. It has a curved, more natural look instead of hard edges and corners. I like the new design. It’s not a reason for you to buy the X9 Pro Omni if your X8 Pro Omni is already in place, but it’s definitely a step forward. Tech. Entertainment. Science. The docking station of the X9 Pro Omnias is still taller and wider than it is, making it easier to fit in smaller spaces. It still fits in the exact spot I found for the previous version. The vacuum still manages, however, to fit LiDAR sensors into a body without a large node at the top.”is-wp-image-block wp-block-image size-large”>Image source: Christian de Looper. The Osmo Roller Mop, which was unveiled at CES, is still the highlight of the X9 Pro Omni. We’ll discuss how this impacts cleaning performance in a moment, but the basic idea is that the mop pad can be washed inside the vacuum while it mops. The system also allows it to apply more pressure on the floor to better scrub any stuck-on messes. Ecovacs added a comb-like feature to the vacuum that is designed to remove hairs tangled in the brush. Overall, I found it to be pretty effective at preventing hair from getting tangled on the brush. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than the X8 Pro Omni.”wp-block-heading” id=”h-ecovacs-deebot-x9-pro-omni-review-app-and-smart-features”Ecovacs Deebot Omni review: App features and designGenerally speaking, Ecovacs’ app is well-designed and easy to use. The mapping feature was a bit difficult for me. You send the vacuum around your house to map the area when you first set it up. It will get a feel for the rooms and walls. It expanded some rooms more than others and did not add walls where it should have. You won’t have to map your entire home again to fix this. You can edit the map by dividing rooms, deleting certain areas, etc., but it took me about 20 minutes to do that, given the number of errors in the map.”is-wp-image-block wp-block-image size-large”> The X9 Pro Omni is compatible with Matter, so it can be integrated into your smart home ecosystem. I was able add it to Apple Home quickly and easily within a few minutes. From there, I was able to have the vacuum clean my house with options such as vacuuming or vacuuming along with mopping. You can select the rooms to be cleaned and choose between automatic or deep cleaning. The settings and features are not as comprehensive as the Ecovacs App, and it would have been nice to be able to vacuum and mop. The Matter support is a great feature, as it allows me to avoid asking my wife to download a separate app to use the vacuum. She can use the Apple Home app to perform basic tasks. This is what she would normally do with the Ecovacs App. Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni Review: Cleaning PerformanceThe Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni has similar mopping features as the X8 Pro Omni. This is a positive thing. The roller mop works well and although the difference between a spinning pad and a roller mop isn’t as dramatic, it’s still better. The Deebot X9 Pro is not designed to clean large spills. However, it can be used for everyday cleaning. With the roller mop it is better at scrubbing sticky messes. This model takes roller mopping to a new level with a pressure of 3700Pa.”is-wp-image-block wp-block-image size-large”>Image source: Christian de Looper. This is very helpful, and it helps cut down those little spots where robotic vacuums previously couldnat clean properly.Technically, the suction power on the Deebot X9 Pro Omni is lower than the X8 Pro Omni before it, sitting at 16,600Pa instead of 18,000Pa. Ecovacs claims that the new BLAST suction technology allows it to clean your floor better without using as much power. Leaving aside the marketing speak, I found that the X9 Pro Omni did a good job of cleaning up dry debris. This included large chunks of Cheerios thrown by my daughter or dust and dirt from walking in and out the house when gardening. Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni, like its predecessor, is the best robotic vacuum for mopping. It is very, very good at vacuuming but not the best.”wp-block-heading” id=”h-conclusions”Conclusions The Ecovacs Deebot Pro Omni is one of the best robotic vacuums on the market, but it’s not perfect. Ecovacs should improve its mapping capabilities for the next generation models. Once you set up your map correctly, it navigated the house well and performed excellently in areas that mattered. It’s a great vacuum and a great mop. It also has smart features such as Matter support.”wp-block-heading” id=”h-the-competition”>The competitionCompetition in the robotic vacuum space is fierce, but Iave tested a number of models and find the Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni to be the best out there right now. It is the most versatile, with a mopping system that is excellent and a vacuuming system that is very good, as well as some useful features. www.roboticsobserver.com RELATED ARTICLES Robotic Surgery Triumphs in Caudate Lobe Removal | Mirage News Robotics Observer - March 6, 2026 HONOR Earns global recognition at MWC 2026 for robot ihone Innovation...
